Gatherings

It’s the scale of the property that lends itself to private gatherings as there is accommodation for 30 people in the house and both cottages.  With that number of people in mind, we have created a range of spaces that can be used for dining, gathering, socialising, working and relaxing, all with a different design and feel.

The Long Table’ is an outdoor area under the vines which is surrounded by manicured gardens.  In summer, it has a dense canopy with festoon lights, so almost feels like a room, but in winter when the vines are bare, it’s a sunny, sheltered spot. We’ve added an outdoor fireplace next to the table in the style that you might find if driving around the countryside and seeing a house that has fallen down, but the fireplace is still standing.

The Verandah’ is a great spot for mingling as it overlooks the property and lends itself to setting up a bar or grazing table.

The Deck’ is something we added more recently, as it provides a large outdoor entertaining space within close proximity to the kitchen, but it’s undercover so if the weather’s uncertain, you can still enjoy the outlook over the garden.  Some of our corporate groups use it as a work space and it’s also been used for yoga.

The Lounge Room’ is a huge room with the big granite fireplace. We’ve set it up so it can be cosy if there’s just a few of you, but all the furniture can be moved and therefore it is still comfortable for a lot more people.  The room can also be configured as a space for presentations and training, as it has a large TV that can be paired with a laptop.

The Cellar’ is a really big multi-purpose space.  When families are staying, the lounges, piano, billiards and table tennis are set up, but when it’s a retreat, the space can be cleared for yoga.  It’s also used for banquets, as it’s a quirky indoor option with plenty of space for 30 people and it has a bar area.

The Stables’ are occasionally used as a rustic socialising area, as there’s a fire pit and it’s a space that immediately feels unique.

The Kitchen and Scullery can just as easily be used by private chefs or caterers as they can by our guests, and are equipped with all the beautiful tableware, glassware, crockery, cutlery, candelabras and vases that come with the property, so you are able to create gorgeous settings yourself.  You just need to bring family, friends, food and fizz.

When guests stay, they often hold each meal or gathering in a different location, so they get to experience all of the spaces.  Of course, all these spaces also mean you can spread out and have relaxing time apart, while still together on the property.

Bundara Farm is a five minute drive from the bustling historic township of Berry, and also a five minute drive from the stunning Seven Mile Beach.

The area has a huge range of things to do including wineries, restaurants, cafes, pubs, boutique shops, artisan bakeries, mountain bike trails, bush walks, horse riding, golf, surfing, fishing, craft and a variety of local markets and fairs.

Berry is a two hour drive from Sydney and three hours from Canberra.
